I am not sure if you heard yet, but the new season of The Amazing Race China Rush is right around the corner, and we are currently in the process of selecting new contestants. Unlike The Amazing Race Asia where teams must be residing in Asia or US The Amazing Race where you have to be American, The Amazing Race China Rush welcomes ALL applicants from around the world!

Unfortunately, I am not directly involved with the selection process, but I do know that the production is still in the midst of selecting the teams. Hopefully, you will receive a response from them soon so I can see you at the starting line! Good luck!

Thankyou for answering Allan, I look forward to hearing news. By the way, I hope TARA 5 has longer legs, 10 legs wasn’t very much. Ideally from a budget point of view, they should of done 2 legs per country in TARA 4. 2 legs in Australia and Indonesia would of been ideal. The American version does multiple legs a lot in the same country, hope the Asian one does more.
why did the grand prize downgrade so much? it went from a trip around the world to a trip to some part of china I’ve never heard of, is the show really that cheap? Thanks for the answer, Allan.
The grand prize actually consists of both a trip around the world AND also an additional expedition trip to Hoh Xil in the Tibetan Plateau.

I saw the premiere, it was good, but what happened to the roadblock? I heard that it involves floating in a barrel or something, that would have been awesome to watch, the chinese-english thing is very confusing and throws me off a lot, but I like the show. I didn’t know you could speak chinese, Allan, how did you learn it? Is it one of your mother tongues or did you study it at some point?
That’s great you enjoyed the first episode. I learned Chinese in Singapore during my time doing Chinese TV drama serials. Not easy…but it’s proving more and more helpful (and advantageous) in the China market. Now, I hope I can improve and speak even better.
